icanmom is a specialized AI-driven platform designed to support new mothers in navigating the complexities of postnatal life. It features a sophisticated 10-step AI pipeline that extracts user preferences, analyzes behavior over 7-day windows, and generates actionable daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. The system utilizes autonomous cron jobs to synchronize schedules with calendars and intelligently distributes household loads by assigning shareable tasks to partners.
The Story
The Problem
New mothers often experience overwhelming cognitive load while managing baby care and household responsibilities. Existing generic planners lack the empathy and adaptive logic needed to handle unpredictable schedules or learn from a mother's specific energy patterns and behavior.
The Solution
Developed a robust task generation engine leveraging OpenAI and Firebase. Implemented a self-learning loop that calculates task 'Skip Rates' to deprioritize irrelevant tasks and prioritize high-value ones. Built a complex carryover logic for non-daily tasks and a smart assignment system to bridge communication between partners, all wrapped in a warm, comforting UI/UX.
