
Dundalk: AI-First Smart Tourism
Dundalk is a high-performance tourism marketplace designed to bridge the gap between local businesses and travelers. Built with Next.js and Firebase, the platform features a multi-tenant architecture with specialized interfaces for Super Admins, Business Owners, and End-Users. It leverages the Google Places API for automated location discovery, where admins can verify and assign businesses to owners. The platform's standout feature is an AI Concierge that uses natural language processing to generate personalized itineraries, budget breakdowns, and pub-crawling routes based on user preferences.
The Story
The Problem
Tourists lacked a centralized, intelligent way to plan personalized, budget-conscious trips. Local business owners struggled to target travelers with real-time offers and dynamic coupon campaigns, while manual data entry for thousands of locations was inefficient for platform admins.
The Solution
Developed a comprehensive ecosystem using Next.js and Firebase Cloud Functions. Implemented a sophisticated AI Trip Planner that processes natural language to curate stays, pubs, and activities. Built a robust Owner Dashboard for managing featured listings, dynamic promotions, and coupon systems, while automating location curation via Google Places integration.
